Anna ‘Supergirl’ Jaroonsak, a competitor in atomweight Muay Thai and kickboxing, believes and asserts that she possesses the same skills as Smilla Sundell, the current holder of the ONE strawweight Muay Thai world championship.
This was stated by the Thai phenom, who is only 19 years old, in her most recent interview with ONE Championship. In this interview, she also mentioned that ‘The Hurricane’s’ only advantage is that she is physically larger and more powerful. On the other hand, she believes that their ability levels are comparable to one another.
According to ‘Supergirl,’
“Muay Thai is the common ground that unites us. Because of our shared background in Muay Thai, I don’t believe that our kickboxing styles differ all that significantly from one another.
She has a greater advantage in terms of her strength and body for Muay Thai. I believe that I am on par with you in terms of my ability.
It’s possible that she has good grounds to claim this because her track record vouches for her credibility. Under the rules of the most prestigious martial arts organization in the world, the Jaroonsak Muaythai-affiliated athlete has compiled a record of three victories and one defeat.
Both Milagros Lopez and Ekaterina Vandaryeva have been defeated by ‘Supergirl’ in Muay Thai bouts. She also boasts a victory in kickboxing over Lara Fernandez, but her only loss in the organization came at the hands of Stamp Fairtex, who prevailed over her via a narrow split decision in their fight in January 2023 at ONE Fight Night 6. Her kickboxing victory came at the cost of Lara Fernandez.
‘Supergirl’ is currently training for her next challenge, which will be against Cristina Morales on November 3 at ONE Fight Night 16 in Bangkok, Thailand. They will be participating in an atomweight kickboxing match inside of the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium.
If ‘Supergirl’ can pull off a fantastic victory over Morales, she will be well on her way to earning herself a world title shot against ONE atomweight kickboxing world champion Janet Todd or possibly even a date with strawweight Muay Thai queen Smilla Sundell in the not too distant future. Both of these opportunities will be available to her if she can achieve a spectacular victory over Morales.
