Recently, shocking accusations against Conor McGregor have surfaced. McGregor was charged with assaulting a lady in 2022 while she was a visitor on his boat. The encounter between the Irish superstar and the unnamed woman became public after she reported it to the authorities.

Local law enforcement agencies have conducted investigations, however conflicting information has been provided by numerous sources. He allegedly threatened to “drown” the unnamed woman while celebrating his birthday in Ibiza, according to the Spanish publication Ultima Hora. Although the Spanish news outlet Marca initially reported that he was not implicated, Ultima Hora is now providing a different version of the story.

Notable MMA stars responded to these rumours. Particularly, Ben Askren and Kelvin Gastelum responded to the information. In response, Gastelum made fun of McGregor’s reported activities on Twitter:

When will we see Conor McGregor return to the octagon?

Conor McGregor has been suspended and even withdrawn himself from the USADA testing pool since losing to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in 2021 and sustaining a horrific leg injury in the process.
The Notorious has nevertheless routinely posted pictures of himself working out and getting bigger. The Irishman looks much bulkier, indicating that his days as a lightweight are long gone. His head coach John Kavanagh recently said that he is optimistic that McGregor will make a comeback in 2023 during an interview with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour.

There are plenty of viable opponents for Conor McGregor’s rematch. Currently, the former title challenger and all-action lightweight Michael Chandler, who has already called out the former two-division champion, appears to be the front-runner.

Chandler emphatically challenged McGregor to a welterweight fight after his sensational knockout victory over Tony Ferguson at UFC 274 last year. On Twitter, “The Notorious” reacted and said he was open to the fight before congratulating Chandler on his victory.
