The ‘Buchecha’ training camp for ONE Fight Night 13 will come to a close at Phuket Fight Club in Thailand for Marcus ‘Buchecha’ Almeida.

On August 4, Almeida will have the chance to potentially secure a shot at the ONE Heavyweight World Title. It’s easier to say than to do, especially considering that he’s going up against ‘Reug Reug’ Oumar Kane, who has a promotional record of 4-1 and has won three of his fights via knockout or technical knockout.

The illustrious Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand will play host to ONE Fight Night 13, which will take place there. As a direct consequence of this, Almeida recently made an early trip to Thailand in order to become accustomed to the climate there. The BJJ veteran was featured in a photo that was uploaded to Instagram and posted by the official account for Phuket Fight Club. The description for the photo read:

“Marcus Buchecha arrived today to complete his training for his upcoming fight, which will take place on August 4 at ONE Fight Night, welcome back “

In September of 2021, Marcus ‘Buchecha’ Almeida made his debut in mixed martial arts competition with ONE Championship. The 17-time BJJ world champion made his presence known early in the competition by submitting Anderson ‘Braddock’ Silva and Kang Ji Won in the opening round of their respective bouts.

In June of 2022, Almeida demonstrated his growing versatility by putting an end to Simon Carson’s fight through technical knockout. The 33-year-old Brazilian’s most recent bout took place in August 2022, and he won with a heel hook in the first round against a former challenger for the ONE heavyweight interim world title. Kirill Grishenko.

After that, Almeida will have to get past ‘Reug Reug’ Oumar Kane, who is currently on a two-fight victory run. ONE Fight Night 13 will feature a number of exciting events, including the highly anticipated heavyweight battle. Prime Video users in North America will have the opportunity to watch the fights live and for free.
