Russian prospect Tagir Khalilov believes that he will be more at ease facing striking sensation Superlek Kiatmoo9 than he would have been facing Elias Mahmoudi, who was originally scheduled to be his opponent for ONE Fight Night 12.
“Samingpri” will make his comeback on July 14 riding the wave of a two-fight win streak, having scored back-to-back knockout victories against Chorfah Tor Sangtiennoi and Black Panther. “Samingpri” will return to the circle riding the wave of a win. Next, the fifth-ranked flyweight kickboxing contender will engage ‘The Kicking Machine’ in a Muay Thai class at the illustrious Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in an effort to record the most significant victory of his professional career.
Because to scheduling conflicts, Tagir Khalilov was supposed to fight Elias Mahmoudi, a veteran with 32 victories. However, the promotion was forced to switch things up, and the fight between Khalilov and Superlek took place instead. “Samingpri” made these comments in response to ONE Championship’s decision to switch his opponent:
“Contrasting with him will be easier for me than doing so with Elias Mahmoudi.”

After scoring a brilliant first-round finish against ONE rookie Nabil Anane at ONE Friday Fights 22 a month ago, 20 Superlek will make a rapid turnaround in order to compete in the next event. With this victory, ‘The Kicking Machine’ improved his record in art of eight limbs competitions held under the ONE Championship brand to a perfect 7.0, and it marked the 134th victory of his professional MMA career.
Although Superlek is the reigning world champion in flyweight kickboxing for ONE, this will be his second fight in a row in Muay Thai since he won the title. Superlek’s previous fight was in 2013.
Fans will also be treated to a grappler’s delight when Russian submission specialist Shamil Gasanov faces off against Garry ‘The Lion Killer’ Tonon, who has previously challenged for the ONE global title.
