Anna ‘Supergirl’ Jaroonsak does not have any desire in rematching her fight with top-ranked atomweight challenger Stamp Fairtex from January.
“Supergirl” defeated Lara Fernandez, a two-time ISKA world champion, by way of a unanimous decision to earn her third victory under the ONE Championship banner at ONE Fight Night 13. The triumph came seven months after her loss to Stamp Fairtex at ONE Fight Night 6, which was decided by a split decision in a closely contested bout.
When asked about her fight with Stamp earlier this year, ‘Supergirl’ disclosed that she does not have any ill will toward the Thai fan favorite and that she does not intend to rematch the fight despite the fact that she was on the receiving end of the scorecards in the original matchup.
She responded, “I think no, because I really respect her,” when questioned about the possibility of a rematch between herself and Stamp.
After three rounds of high-octane competition, the winner on two of the three scorecards that were turned in was Stamp Fairtex. However, many industry experts were of the opinion that ‘Supergirl’ had more than enough going for it to emerge victorious from that particular episode.
In May, Stamp added another significant victory to her CV when she finished Alyse Anderson through knockout by landing an incredibly brutal body kick in the second round of their fight that took place at ONE Fight Night 10. As a result of the victory, Stamp has earned the right to take part in the atomweight world title competition once more.
On September 29, Stamp will compete in the Circle against Ham Seo Hee, who is currently ranked second among contenders. The victor of this bout will leave Singapore Indoor Stadium with the interim atomweight ONE global championship wrapped around their waist.
