Sean O’Malley demands Henry Cejudo fight after ‘AljoComain’ stalls next UFC title defense

Published:

Aljamain Sterling, the UFC bantamweight champion, or “AljoComain,” as Sean O’Malley likes to call him, is still recovering from a torn bicep and is unlikely to make his own deadline for the title defence against Henry Cejudo in March. This is likely because “Funk Master” is always playing second fiddle to a more important title fight.

For this reason, “Sugar” is urging a Q-Tip temporary title match.

O’Malley questioned on Twitter, “Is AljoComain fighting Henry or not, I’m puzzled.” He said his bicep is torn. If that’s the case let me beat up Henry”

The Suga State Athletic Commission has already given their approval for this match.

By defeating former champion Petr Yan at UFC 280 in October, O’Malley moved to the top of the bantamweight rankings. This performance may or may not have earned him a crack at the 135-pound belt.

If not, it may be time for this rival candidate to receive the call.
