‘Darth Rigatoni’ Mikey Musumeci, the current ONE flyweight submission grappling world champion, and Mark Zuckerberg have developed an odd connection and have been spotted together frequently.
In reality, ‘Zuck’ and Musumeci posted a number of times together on social media, including one in which they are seen sharing a couple pizza boxes.
Musumeci shared this on his Instagram page:
It was great to train and chill out with my friend @zuck. He successfully completes the vibe test.
As he has been spotted practicing Muay Thai, boxing, and especially jiu-jitsu, a sport in which Musumeci is regarded as one of the best in the world to have ever competed, pound-for-pound, Zuckerberg has recently experimented. He has even participated in a few regional competitions.
Therefore, it should come as no surprise at all that Zuckerberg has invited Musumeci over to help him get better at grappling.
Mikey Musumeci: How good is he? Possibly the finest American-born Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner in the sport’s history, the 26-year-old Italian-American superstar.
In 2022, he became a member of the ONE Championship. In his first four fights for the organization, he prevailed, winning the inaugural ONE flyweight submission grappling world championship in the process. Musumeci has had an unmatched rise up the rankings with victories over Masakazu Imanari, Cleber Sousa, Gantumur Bayanduuren, and most recently, Osamah Almarwai.
Amazon Prime Video has a replay of Musumeci’s most recent performance, which took place at ONE Fight Night 10: Johnson vs. Moraes III in May.
