At ONE Friday Fights 34, Lito Adiwang makes his comeback after an injury and fights Adrian Mattheis.

After recovering from an injury and spending some time on the sidelines, Lito Adiwang has rejoined the team.

The fight between Rodtang and Superlek will take place on September 22 at the historic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium as part of ONE Friday Fights 34. The event will feature the Filipino star. The event was initially reported on by a local media in the Philippines called Tiebreaker Times.

With a record of 7-1 during his first eight bouts in ONE Championship, Adiwang was one of the contenders at the strawweight division who rose through the ranks at one of the quickest rates.

His nearly unstoppable march, on the other hand, came to a disheartening halt when he sustained an ACL injury in his battle against fellow Filipino star Jeremy Miado at ONE X in March 2022 in Singapore. This match was a disappointment since it stopped him in his tracks and prevented him from continuing his ascent.

Adiwang put in a lot of effort to bring himself back into playing form after he took some time off from the sport.

After being scheduled to compete against the Dagestani grappler Mansur Malachiev at ONE Fight Night 11 in June of this past year, Adiwang was supposed to make his return at an earlier period than what was initially planned. However, Adiwang was unable to continue playing due to the persistent discomfort he was experiencing in his right knee.

Despite this, it looks as though ‘Thunder Kid’ is in excellent physical form.

Adiwang has the opportunity to once more demonstrate to the world his one-of-a-kind offensive approach, which combines ferocious striking with scorching grappling. The ultra-aggressive fighting style of the 30-year-old helped him win five bouts in ONE Championship, including four by knockout and one by submission.

In addition, during his comeback to the ring, he will be facing the ideal opponent in Mattheis. Mattheis is an aggressive fighter who will not back down from a challenge and will do all it takes to secure a highlight reel finish, much like Adiwang.

Eight of Papua Badboy’s nine victories in ONE Championship came by way of knockout or submission. Papua Badboy now holds the record for most victories in the promotion.

The most recent victory for Mattheis came in the form of a spectacular knockout victory against the Chinese boxer Zelang Zhaxi at ONE Fight Night 7.
