John Lineker wants to make his already lethal boxing even better for the crucial fight he has coming up against Stephen Loman.

Even though it is widely believed that John Lineker is the fighter in MMA who packs the strongest punch pound for pound, the Brazilian superstar isn’t satisfied with just having that fearsome reputation.

His terrifying nickname, “Hands of Stone,” was well deserved, and he has plans to make those explosive fists even more menacing in the future. When Lineker competes against Stephen Loman in a critical bantamweight mixed martial arts match at ONE Fight Night 14 on September 29, US primetime, at Singapore Indoor Stadium, Lineker aims to unleash a better and stronger boxing game than he has previously shown.

Lineker acknowledged, during an interview with ONE Championship, that he is cognizant of the perilous nature of the bantamweight division’s most skilled competitors.

The top-ranked bantamweight contender in Brazil confessed that the number two contender in the world, Loman, is one of the most elusive fighters in the entire division and someone who can easily avoid oncoming attacks.

The one-time bantamweight MMA world champion for ONE had these things to say:

Because they are all working toward the same objective, all of the athletes who are ranked highly in this category present a threat to the competition. As I’ve mentioned before, Loman is the kind of person who wanders around a lot, which makes things challenging for people who enjoy striking. In addition to that, he is skilled in the takedown as well as the ground and pound. Therefore, I need to get better at boxing and always be ready to defend myself against attempts by him to take me down.

Lineker is presently rated No. 1 in the volatile bantamweight standings, and he believes that a win over Loman will lead to a trilogy bout against Fabricio Andrade, who is the reigning ONE bantamweight MMA world champion. Loman is currently ranked No. 2 in the volatile bantamweight standings.

The 33-year-old fighter currently holds a record of 5-1 in ONE Championship competition, with four of his victories coming courtesy of earth-shattering knockout victories.

Loman, on the other hand, is widely considered to be one of the most adaptable competitors in the promotion. Even though he has a foundation in shifty wushu, ‘The Sniper’ is able to adjust his offensive sets quickly and opt to grapple whenever he has the need.

The standout from the Philippines is currently undefeated in ONE Championship and is fresh off a dominant unanimous decision victory against the Brazilian icon Bibiano Fernandes, who held the title of bantamweight king in the past.
