Competitors Jake Paul and Tommy Fury will meet on February 26 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in an effort to put an end to their protracted rivalry. Two previous fight dates were set, but they were both cancelled.
The fight had been scheduled for December 2021, but Fury pulled out because of a chest infection and a broken rib. Tyron Woodley, a former UFC welterweight champion who was defeated by Paul just a few months after their first fight, took Fury’s place.
Prior to the fight’s official announcement, Jake Paul disclosed that Fury had received a large payoff to compete against him, but the British boxer has chosen to decline. Paul stated during the first press conference that now that the fight has been confirmed, Fury cannot afford to cancel a third time because he is a new father:
“It’s terrible that he’s now turning up for the face-to-face meeting we were meant to have right now. The young person is not always trustworthy. However, he benefits from the money. As a result, it would be absurd. Additionally, I believe he is sick of Fury’s girlfriend, Molly, taking home all the cash. He now has a child and must contribute to the cost of diapers.”
Fury and his partner first connected on Love Island in 2019 and gained notoriety when they announced they were expecting a baby girl. Jake Paul may have revealed the pregnancy before the couple could, according to Molly-updates Mae’s to her admirers.

Paul organised bare-knuckle boxer and former UFC star Mike Perry as a replacement for the Brit in a news conference for the bout due to worries that Fury will withdraw from the contest for a third time.
Perry competed in the UFC 15 times and was viewed as a potential welterweight contender, but after a string of losses, he left the organisation in less than two years.
