Former mixed martial artist Mark Munoz, who is Filipino-American, participated in the UFC from 2009 to 2015. Apart from owning an amazing MMA record, he is also a 2001 NCAA Division I wrestling champion at 197 lbs. The proverbial apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, and Trey Munoz, Mark’s son, is a wrestler as well. The young athlete has already won numerous awards, including the 2023 PAC 12 team championship as well as two PAC 12 individual championships.
His father won the NCAA competition more than two decades ago, where he is now participating.
