Tye Ruotolo is convinced that he could defeat Reinier de Ridder in a mixed martial arts battle, despite the fact that their previous competition was limited to submission grappling alone.
Following his most recent triumph, which took place at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video, the American superstar is now prepared to enter the rough and tumble world of mixed martial arts (MMA).
And much like his twin brother Kade, Tye has the goal of launching his professional mixed martial arts career before the year 2023 comes to a close, which indicates that he is getting close to making his debut.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that he would choose to square off against the champion of the middleweight division of ONE Fighting Championship, Reinier de Ridder, given that both Tye and Kade have a history of challenging some of the biggest names in the world of combat sports.
In an interview with the South China Morning Post, a spokesperson from the Atos Jiu-Jitsu gym stated:
“I know it’s funny, but after my match, Kade and I were both thinking that there’s no doubt in our minds that we could also destroy him in MMA. I believe that a lot of people undervalue the strength of our hands.

Both Tye and Kade made the decision at the beginning of this month to focus on improving their mixed martial arts (MMA) abilities. They recently made contact with Superbon Singha Mawynn, a former two-time ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion, expressly to take their talents to the next level.
The journey that we’ve taken up to this point has been beneficial. They were observed practicing several forms of martial arts, including Muay Thai, kickboxing, and traditional boxing, in order to improve their skills in all facets of mixed martial arts (MMA). However, despite the fact that they are still concentrating on making the transition from BJJ to MMA, they are willing to engage in a grappling contest with anyone.
It’s possible that Tye will have to face Garry Tonon again at some point in the future. Since he was defeated by the younger competitor by submission, the American mixed martial arts fighter has been working hard to get his revenge on Tye.
