It had been years since ‘Mighty Mouse’ Demetrious Johnson, the reigning ONE flyweight world champion, had been able to compete on U.S. territory prior to the sold-out event that took place at ONE Fight Night 10 in Colorado a few of weeks ago. The event was completely sold out.
The last time he competed in the United States was when he was still signed with the UFC. It was a contentious fight against his good friend Henry Cejudo that ended in a split decision. On the other hand, Johnson was overjoyed when it was revealed that ONE Championship would be making its long-awaited debut in the United States in a live on-ground event.
And in the main event of ONE Fight Night 10: Johnson vs. Moraes III on Prime Video, which took place at the 1stBank Center in Denver on May 5, Johnson was finally back in the United States, and he couldn’t have been happier about it. Moraes III was the opponent for this fight.
In a recent interview with MMA Junkie, Johnson expressed how happy he was about the opportunity to compete in the United States and in front of all of the American fans once again. Johnson was speaking about the opportunity to participate in the United States.
Mighty Mouse is quoted as saying:
“Oh yeah, it felt absolutely, the amount of people who came out to see me, potentially for one of my last events, was amazing,” she said. “It could have been one of my last events.” My wife, children, and in-laws were able to attend, as were all of our fans.

Because he had such a good time, Johnson has decided to put any discussions on his retirement on hold for the time being and has indicated that he is open to the possibility of returning.
