McGregor has recently been to social media in order to provide some information regarding his upcoming battle. A video that was uploaded on X by ‘The Notorious’ revealed that he will be competing against Chandler in the month of June in the year 2024. According to him, the fight will take place in the middleweight division, despite the fact that the Ultimate Fighting Championship has not yet acknowledged anything about the fight.

As McGregor put it:

I wish each and every one of you a joyous new year, ladies and gentlemen. I would like to make the announcement that I, Conor McGregor, also known as “The Notorious,” will be returning. For the occasion of International Fight Week, which will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, on June 29th, the greatest comeback in the history of everything will take place. Michael Chandler, the opponent, and Mr. Chandler, who weighs 185 pounds, are the weight groups.

Conor McGregor wanted to fight at UFC 300

Conor McGregor’s next bout has been the topic of conversation in the mixed martial arts (MMA) community for quite some time now. Many people believed that “The Notorious” would be a part of the UFC 300 event, despite the fact that he has already seemingly confirmed his return for the month of June.

According to the findings of MMA journalist Ariel Helwani, Conor McGregor even attempted to convince the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) to include him on the historic card of the company. However, they agreed to fight at the International Fight Week instead of a competition. Regarding X, Helwani wrote:

In point of fact, the date of June 29 in Las Vegas is set for the International Fight Week. In June, IFW will be held for the very first time. In most cases, it is the first or second Saturday of the month of July. At the age of 300, McGregor proposed a fight. He exerted a great deal of effort to achieve it. I was assured that he was prepared. However, following a discussion with the upper management the previous week, they decided to settle on June 29.
