Fabricio Andrade, often known as “Wonder Boy,” is prepared to make history in his upcoming battle. The Brazilian superstar, however, is not concerned about the enormous stakes involved in his forthcoming match because he is already looking forward to a prosperous future that is full with a variety of opportunities.
Andrade is planning to face ‘The General’ Jonathan Haggerty, who currently holds the title of ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion, for the unclaimed ONE bantamweight kickboxing world title. The two explosive fighters are scheduled to square off at ONE Fight Night 15, which will be streamed live on Prime Video throughout the month of October. The event will take place in the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, October 6.
Andrade, who exuded self-assurance, indicated that after he successfully claimed the vacant kickboxing title, he may consider making an attempt to win the Muay Thai gold held by Haggerty.
In a recent interview with ONE Championship, Andrade expressed interest in the possibility of becoming the first person in history to hold the titles of world champion in three different sports.
The saying goes, “Wonder Boy,”
“I will go down in history as the first person to win the World Championship in two different sports. Obviously, the Muay Thai belt will also be on sale, but I haven’t thought much about how to go about selling it just yet. I’m going about it methodically, one baby step at a time. My current concentration is on winning the kickboxing title, but I recognize that this is a possibility for the future.
Andrade has three belts draped across his shoulders, right? That’s not as unlikely as you may think. After all, ‘Wonder Boy’ is widely regarded as one of the most talented attackers in the history of all combat sports.
But in order for him to even begin working toward making that ambition a reality, he first and foremost needs to get past Haggerty, which is not an easy accomplishment in and of itself. Haggerty is a highly skilled craftsman who possesses an incredible amount of power in his limbs. Conquering him will be a lot easier to say than to do.
