Fabricio Andrade is unable to identify the primary weapon that Jonathan Haggerty possesses: We were never able to witness him engage in kickboxing.

Fabricio Andrade demonstrated his dominance over the bantamweight mixed martial arts class at ONE Fight Night 7 in February of this past year.

At the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, ‘Wonder Boy’ won the gold medal after compiling an unprecedented undefeated streak inside the ring.

After the Brazilian defeated John Lineker in their rematch, he turned his focus to looking for a new objective that would give him the opportunity to challenge himself and exceed expectations.

It is common knowledge that Andrade’s striking skill is his biggest asset, and his time spent competing at the bantamweight level has resulted in some fantastic performances and finishes.

The divisional kingpin will put his skills to the test for his next challenge at ONE Fight Night 16 by participating in a striking-only ruleset for the very first time under the ONE Championship banner. This will be the divisional kingpin’s next challenge.

In the main event, he will compete against the current holder of the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai title, Jonathan Haggerty, in a battle of champions for the unclaimed bantamweight kickboxing world championship.

Although Haggerty may have the advantage in terms of elite striking experience over the previous couple of years, ‘The General’ is more especially renowned for his skills in Muay Thai, which makes kickboxing somewhat new for him. Haggerty, on the other hand, has had more experience in kickboxing than ‘The General’ does in Muay Thai.

Fabricio Andrade provided his perspective on his opponent and discussed the areas in which he believes his opponent to be the most dangerous during an interview with The MMA Superfan.

Fabricio Andrade, who has never witnessed Haggerty compete under these particular rulesets previously, claims that he will need to adjust to Haggerty’s style as a kickboxer inside the circle in order to win the match:

“I believe it’s difficult to answer that because we never saw him engage in a kickboxing match. Therefore, I believe that we are going to have to wait until the fight to see it.

The one thing that we do know for certain is that when Fabricio Andrade and Jonathan Haggerty get into the ring against each other, the fans of ONE Championship are in for a treat because both combatants have a track record for putting on a show. This is something that we know for sure.

On Friday, November 3, viewers in North America who have an active subscription to Amazon Prime Video will be able to watch ONE Fight Night 16 live and for free during prime time in the United States.
