Fabricio “Wonder Boy” Andrade, the current holder of the uncontested title of ONE Bantamweight Mixed Martial Arts World Champion, has risen to the very pinnacle of the sport of mixed martial arts and is now considered to be one of the top fighters in the world. However, he did not only do it for the sake of himself.
The Brazilian superstar, who is now 26 years old, strives to provide a better life for his family, most importantly his mother, for whom he made a promise to himself that he would purchase a brand new home.
Because of the tremendous success that Andrade has had, he was recently able to accomplish that objective during a trip back to Fortaleza.
Andrade related his experience to The MMA Superfan in an interview, where he discussed the process of purchasing a new home for his mother. The saying goes, “Wonder Boy,”
“I’ve always had the idea in my head that I want to do things like that, like buy her a house,” he said. “I’m going to do it.” I have more things that I want to do in the future that have been in my head the whole time, but I didn’t really like to put an expiry date for when I was going to do that, you know.” I have more things that I want to do in the future that have been in my head the whole time.During my most recent trip to Brazil, I was still unsure as to whether or not I would be able to accomplish that goal. But I started looking, thinking, and seeing what I could do, and it then occurred to me that I could buy her house at that moment. So I did that. I just like to let things flow the way they are going, and eventually it got to a point where I could do that, you know, and of course that makes me very happy, not just for being able to do that, but to see the difference in her life and my family’s life as well. So I had the thing on the back of my head, but I just like to let things flow the way they are going.
