Elias Mahmoudi, now ranked fifth in the flyweight division of Muay Thai, has intentions of sending a message to the current ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion, Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon. He intends to say, “Everything you can do, I can do better.”
Mahmoudi has recently made some audacious promises, such as declaring that he is going to beat his next opponent worse than Rodtang beat him and claim an unparalleled prize that would undoubtedly surpass what ‘The Iron Man’ has accomplished.
At ONE Fight Night 13: Allazov vs. Grigorian, which will be shown on Prime Video, Elias Mahmoudi is scheduled to compete against Edgar Tabares of Mexico, who is 29 years old and a former WBC Muay Thai international champion.
On Friday, August 4, the action may be seen live on broadcasts originating from the illustrious Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Fans may recall that Rodtang won against Tabares in May of last year at the epic ONE Fight Night 10 card in Denver, Colorado, knocking out the Mexican in the second round on his way to winning a bonus of $100,000. Fans may also recall that this victory came at the memorable ONE Fight Night 10 card.
Mahmoudi recently gave an interview to ONE Championship, during which he detailed how he will outperform Rodtang in the next fight.
The Algerian superstar was quoted as saying:
“[I’m] even more [excited] now because there are bonuses that did not exist at the time that I was fighting before. [I’m] even more [excited] now because there are bonuses that did not exist when I was fighting before. And if you don’t believe me, mark my words: I’m coming for the triple bonus if Rodtang wins the double bonus against him!
