Dana White-NASCAR partnership: Did the UFC president act as a sponsor for Daytona 500 2023?

Published:

Dana White, president of the UFC, is well known for his love of NASCAR. In the past, he even entered into a collaboration with Trackhouse Racing.

White participated in the just finished Daytona 500 in Florida as a sponsor as well. Rumble Video and White’s Power Slap League provided sponsorship for Live Fast Motorsports’ No. 78 Chevrolet Camaro. B.J. McLeod, a well-known driver and joint-owner of Live Fast, drove the vehicle and finished 30th overall with 7 points.

In double overtime, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., driving the No. 47 Chevrolet, prevailed over Joey Logano, the current Cup Series champion.

The controversial Power Slap League of Dana White received further scrutiny because of the NASCAR sponsorship arrangement. One fan said that Slap Fighting and Nascar are both “failing” sports.

Perfect two unsuccessful sports combined into one!
The head of UFC snarled back at the remark, saying:

White responded with the emoticon “100” after another fan made fun of him for taking part in Power Slap.
Unusually for White, he continued to respond to nearly every criticism directed at him, the majority of which came from haters.

Dana White’s previous NASCAR partnership

The Busch Light Clash will take place in the Los Angeles Coliseum in February 2022 because to a deal that Dana White made with Trackhouse Racing, which is run by Pitbull and American artist Justin Marks. Ross Chastain’s No. 1 Chevy had White’s Howler Head Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky as its main sponsor. Prior to the contest, the UFC CEO stated:

I’m excited to watch this automobile compete on the track at the Coliseum on Sunday because it’s absolutely [wicked].

After competing with Daniel Suarez in 2021, Trackhouse Racing bought Chip Ganassi’s team and increased to two cars for the 2022 season. On the collaboration with White, Marks stated:

“Dana White, Howler Head, and the UFC are excellent examples of how we can transcend our sport by collaborating with creative individuals and strong businesses. Dana’s influence, vision, and enthusiasm are motivating, and I’m eager to collaborate with him to strengthen both of our businesses and, perhaps, pick his brain along the way.”
