Dana White is criticised by Stipe Miocic for ‘weirdly’ shifting her position on the Jon Jones fight.

Jon Jones, the current UFC heavyweight champion, will likely face Stipe Miocic in his subsequent match.

Although there were rumours that the two would face off at International Fight Week, it appears that the ideal contest is still far from being set. Miocic recently criticised UFC president Dana White in a tweet for appearing to change his mind about the match.
White blamed Miocic last month for making it nearly difficult for the UFC to book the fight for July. White stated in a TMZ Sports interview:

Stipe is another fighter that hasn’t fought in a while, therefore I do believe we don’t have enough time to set up the bout for International bout Week. He needs to assess his own position first, and then return to camp. I’m not sure; we’ll see.The UFC president, however, made a full U-turn when he suggested that “Bones” was the one who was tough to bargain with during a recent appearance on the Pat McAfee Show.

In response to what seemed to be incongruous statements from Dana White, Miocic tweeted:

“Weird… because you claimed I was running @JonnyBones last month.

Jon Jones has a stellar record of 27-1 following his exploits at UFC 285 with one no-contest. Many now view the 35-year-old as the GOAT of MMA since he has the light heavyweight and heavyweight straps permanently etched into his legacy. In contrast, Stipe Miocic has successfully defended his heavyweight championship the most times in history. He is frequently referred to as the UFC’s heavyweight GOAT as a result. The native of Ohio has a 20-4 record.

Jon Jones’ next fight: When the heavyweight champion warned Stipe Miocic to take break from his firefighting duties

Jon Jones, who currently wears the heavyweight title around his waist, is attempting to further establish his legacy by defeating previous champion Stipe Miocic. And it appears that ‘Bones’ has some counsel for his potential adversary.

Jones cautioned Miocic to take time off from his firefighting work and devote all of his attention to his fight camp in order to have any chance against him during the post-fight press conference at UFC 285:

“I would take a break from being a firefighter right now, and I say that with the utmost respect for Stipe. He is going to be the centre of my entire world. I’m going to take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to defeat the heavyweight GOAT.to put everything I have into it.
