Dana White details experience of shooting ‘Road House’ with Jake Gyllenhaal

The fact that some of the major photography for Conor McGregor’s Hollywood debut film, “Road House,” took place at the UFC 285 weigh-ins pleasantly delighted Dana White.

The Irishman unexpectedly appeared on stage during the event’s ceremonial weigh-ins and stated that the audience would be a part of his next film. The movie’s star Jake Gyllenhaal then appeared in a couple sequences that were filmed there by the production team.
Although White is not a huge supporter of allowing distractions at UFC events, he revealed in an interview with TMZSports that he actually enjoyed the filming of “Road House” despite his dislike of distractions in general.

“I’m one of those people who never likes to tamper with my stuff, man. When attendees arrive for an event, I want everything to go off without a hitch. I don’t put on corny middle-of-the-road events like concerts, but it was really quite well done. The fighting video… The quality of the battle footage absolutely astounded me. They performed well.”

The film “Road House” is a remake of the 1989 martial arts cult favourite with Patrick Swayze. The movie centres on an ex-UFC fighter who gets a job in a nightclub in the Florida Keys and the events that follow.

Conor McGregor will apparently play a character from the 1989 movie, however his exact part in the movie is still unknown.

Dana White says Conor McGregor is a “great partner”

Unquestionably, Conor McGregor is the most popular fighter in mixed martial arts, and Dana White views the feisty Irishman as a tremendous ally.

The UFC President recently discussed how “The Notorious” hasn’t changed negatively as a result of his worldwide fame on The Pat McAfee Show. White noted that working with the Irishman has never given him any cause for concern:

“It’s a pleasure to collaborate with Conor. We have never had a disagreement, Conor and I. You have never seen any public altercations between me and him when you consider [how] this kid went from being unknown to becoming one of the biggest superstars in all of sports. This is because frequently, reaching that level of fame and wealth f***s things up. With Conor and me, it has never happened. We have always had integrity. He is a brilliant young man and a competent businessman.”
