“Can’t fight” Dillon Danis is among the top picks for the light heavyweight division in the UFC. As a more “intriguing” fight, we recommend Mike Perry vs. Logan Paul.

Anthony Smith, who competes in the light heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, has stated that Dillon Danis isn’t a fighter and has revealed that he would rather watch Mike Perry fight Logan Paul than Danis.

At the upcoming MF & DAZN X Series: The Prime Card event, which will take place on October 14 at the AO Arena in Manchester, England, Danis and Paul are scheduled to square off against one another inside the ring. The fight will be the main event’s supporting act alongside the main event between KSI and Tommy Fury.

In spite of the fact that the majority of the buildup to the bout has concentrated on Danis’ mocking of Logan Paul and his fiancee Nina Agdal, ‘El Jefe’s’ fighting background has also been a point of emphasis.

Since he last competed in mixed martial arts, Danis has undergone two major knee operations and has been out of action for more than four years. In addition, the 30-year-old will be making his professional boxing debut during the fight versus Paul.

On the Believe You Me podcast that he hosts with Michael Bisping, Anthony Smith gave his opinion on the upcoming fight between Logan Paul and Dillon Danis. Smith and Bisping talked about the fight.

In his critique of Danis, known as “Lionheart,” who stated that he does not feel that “El Jefe” is a fighter at all, he did not draw any punches. Smith also stated that he would want to see former UFC welterweight Mike Perry face Paul, seeing as how ‘Platinum’ is now making significant progress in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC):

If it were up to me, Mike Perry and Logan Paul would get more of my attention. Dillon is not a good fighter. He is simply exceptional when it comes to jiu-jitsu… He is not a boxer, and he is not even a fighter for that matter. It seems like the strangest thing in the world to me… He is not a good fighter. However, Mike Perry can, and the fact that he can does fascinates me.

Dillon Danis breaks character and opens up about depression and alcoholism

After opening out about his difficulties with mental illness and alcoholism, Dillon Danis displayed a level of humility that is not often seen.

“El Jefe” is a divisive personality in the mixed martial arts (MMA) community due to his online persona as a troll, which irritates followers of the sport. On the most recent episode of the FLAGRANT podcast, Danis, on the other hand, decided to abandon the confidence and show off the vulnerable side of himself.

Danis opened up about a difficult time in his life when he experienced the death of both his father and a close friend. These losses precipitated a downturn in Danis’s mental health as well as an addiction to alcohol. In his words:

“There was just so much going on all at once that it was just so simple for me to just [drown myself in alcohol] each and every day, from the moment I woke up to the moment I went to bed… It got to the point where I was on the verge of passing away, and then there were a number of moments when I just didn’t want to be here anymore… You should know that I still deal with that stuff on a daily basis, and it’s difficult… I have a lot of regrets.
