“Can we just leave him alone!” – Neil Magny, the top light heavyweight in the UFC, is fed up with being called out by a number of other competitors.

It would appear that Anthony Smith does not wish for Neil Magny to continue to be challenged by other contenders for the UFC welterweight title.

Following ‘Trailblazer’ Kevin Holland’s defeat at the hands of Jack Della Maddalena via split decision at Noche UFC, ‘Trailblazer’ called out Magny to be his next opponent. He used Instagram to deliver a message to the veteran contender for the welterweight title, adding that the loser of the bout will be have to get their hair cut.

Anthony Smith is of the opinion that ‘The Haitian Sensation’ needs a break, despite the fact that many people were enthused at the thought of a fight between Kevin Holland and Neil Magny. The eighth-ranked light heavyweight contender, Magny, who has already contested three times this year, may even have a reasonable point to make given the circumstances.

Michael Bisping mentioned Kevin Holland’s recent challenge to Magny while he was a guest on the Believe You Me program. The challenge was issued earlier this week. Smith responded to Bisping’s statements by saying the following:

“Hey, can we just give him some space? Everyone is pointing the finger at Neil Magny. Leave that man to his own devices.

Listen to Smith’s thoughts in the following clip (22:24):

After a tough loss to Ian Machado Garry at UFC 292, Neil Magny is looking to get back on track. The Irishman completely dominated the 36-year-old over the course of three rounds, earning two scores of 30 26 and one of 30 24. Magny had previously won a fight against Philip Rowe by a split decision. This came after Magny had lost a fight to Gilbert Burns via submission in the first round of UFC 283.

Anthony Smith wants to see a Valentina Shevchenko vs. Alexa Grasso trilogy fight

Anthony Smith has expressed his desire to watch Valentina Shevchenko and Alexa Grasso compete in the event for a third time.

Last weekend’s fight between Grasso and Shevchenko ended in a split decision, which allowed Grasso to keep her UFC flyweight belt. Both boxers had their moments throughout the course of the battle, which was an absolute barnburner and took place over five rounds.

Although many people believed that Shevchenko had narrowly won by decision, the judges scored the fight 48-47 (Shevchenko), 48-47 (Grasso), and 47-47. Grasso was declared the winner. The fight ended in a split draw due to the controversial decision of the judge, Mike Bell, who scored the last round 10-8 in favor of Grasso despite the fact that it was not a dominant round for the Mexican fighter.

During the same episode of the Believe You Me podcast, host Anthony Smith discussed the main event from the previous weekend and advocated for a three-fight series to terminate the competition. In his words:

“I believe that it ought to come to an end. There is more to be seen, at least in my opinion, and I want to see more of it. To tell you the truth, I didn’t think Grasso put up a particularly impressive fight… It is most likely that Valentina was the one who performed the necessary changes to make her appear as she does now. I thought her range was off, but I think they may have a better fight together, which is something I’m really looking forward to seeing.
