Fans were given a treat earlier in 2022 when Daniel Cormier shared some funny footage from a UFC all-stars basketball game that took place during international fight week. The game featured a number of MMA superstars, including Joaquin Buckley, Jamahal Hill, and Belal Muhammad.

It would appear that playing hoops is a popular pastime for UFC competitors, and it looks like Daniel Cormier and his teammates are continuing the tradition this time around as well.

‘DC’ can be seen channeling his inner Bruce Buffer by introducing himself as Michael Jordan when kicking off the UFC stars basketball game in Las Vegas in the video that was released on the Twitter profile of sports reporter Helen Yee. The game was held in Las Vegas.

The two-time world champion makes his introduction with a humorous statement, which is as follows:

“And at the guard position, he is a world champion, has won six MVP awards, and is undefeated.” Michael Jordan, who stands 6 feet 6 inches tall, is originally from North Carolina.

The subsequent clip that was released on Twitter by USA TODAY’s Mike Bohn showed UFC superstars competing in the game, including Kevin Holland, light-heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill, and Belal Muhammad.

The video shows the light heavyweight kingpin making a beautiful three-point shot, and then ‘DC’ and his squad rally back for a rapid counter after the shot is taken.

Fight aficionados, seeing the clip for the first time, understandably responded with a myriad of amusing remarks, with many of them expressing the opinion that the game should have been an official event with the fans in attendance.

UFC basketball: when Daniel Cormier spoke about UFC athletes’ skills on the court

After the 2022 UFC basketball game, which took place in Las Vegas during international fight week, the former two-division champion Daniel Cormier offered his opinion on the level of basketball expertise possessed by various UFC fighters. The game took place after the 2022 UFC basketball game.

During his discussion of the game on his YouTube channel, the user known as ‘DC’ began by stating that the welterweight boxer Belal Muhammad is an absolute “trash” at basketball:

“Belal Muhammad is the lowest form of garbage. Belal is a piece of garbage, yet he believes that he is a good basketball player. It’s not just that he talks more trash than everyone else, he actually is trash! Jamahal Hill is nice and acceptable. Derek Brunson? He is not in any danger. Brendan Allen doesn’t even play… Joaquin Buckley, he is unquestionably a football player due to the fact that he is a terrible basketball player. It is, in fact, complete and utter dreck.

Take a look at the following statements made by Daniel Cormier:

Cormier also made an amusing observation when he mentioned that the game had a higher number of fouls than any other basketball game he had ever seen. According to ‘DC,’ it was strange to witness so many wealthy people cheating in such a brazen manner in order to win the cash award of $500.
