As a result of Angela Lee’s decision to hang up her gloves and surrender her highly coveted atomweight mixed martial arts world title at ONE Fight Night 14, she has discovered new ways to go about her life in order to satisfy her need to compete.

The actress known as “Unstoppable” has announced her retirement after enduring a great deal of adversity over the course of the past few years, both in the public view and behind closed doors. As a result of everything that she has been through in her personal and professional life, she is now inspired to assist other people by sharing the struggles that she has encountered.

Lee recently made an appearance on the Keep it Aloha Podcast, where she discussed a new facet of her life that she says has been of great assistance to her in maintaining a sense of equilibrium, including those pertaining to her mental health:

“That is something that I have been putting a lot of emphasis on over the past few months, and that is that I joined the F45, which is a gym that is similar to a group exercise kind of thing, and it just lasts for forty-five minutes. 45 minutes is all that is required of you at this point.
A continuation of Angela Lee’s discussion regarding the positive effects that her new routine has had on her mental health was as follows:

After that, you can move on with the rest of the day; all you need to do is get the most difficult portion out of the way. After that, I’ve been going to the sauna and taking cold plunges pretty much every day. My physical health has improved tremendously as a result of it, but I find it fascinating that being physically active may also have a positive impact on your mental health. To my mind, everything is so intertwined.”

Angela Lee is relieved to have a light at the end of the tunnel that she can share with other people because she has previously struggled with her own personal demons and have been in a position where she did not know where to turn.

On Boxing Day in 2022, Angela’s younger sister Victoria took her own life, which was a tragic event for her family. This tragedy occurred at the end of the year 2022.

It was eventually because of this that Lee decided to retire in 2023 and tell her tale about the challenges she faced with her mental health when she was competing for the title of atomweight queen.

As Lee’s family has been there for her throughout her life, she hopes that through her non-profit organization, Fightstory, she would be able to assist others who may find themselves in similar challenges without a hand to guide them through through it.
