Some people believe that it is Georges St-Pierre, the legendary French-Canadian of the UFC welterweight division. It is up to each individual.
However, according to Chatri Sityodtong, chairman and CEO of ONE Championship, there is no doubt that it is his fighter, the reigning ONE flyweight MMA world champion known as “Mighty Mouse,” Demetrious Johnson. Many fans are in agreement with this statement for the same reason.
The former UFC flyweight champion for a significant amount of time was Johnson. During the year 2018, he made the transition to ONE Championship, which is the most prominent martial arts organization in the world. He ultimately triumphed in August of 2022 and was awarded the title.
After having a conversation with Brendan Schaub, a former fighter who is now an internet sensation, on the Thiccc Boy podcast, Sityodtong discussed his thoughts on Johnson’s career and the reasons why he believes that “Mighty Mouse” is without a doubt the best mixed martial arts fighter of all time.
As Sityodtong put it:
Having won world titles in both the most prestigious organizations, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and ONE Championship, DJ is currently in a position where he has solidified his position as the greatest fighter of all time. Moreover, to put the cherry on top of it all, I mean, if you really think about it, who in their right mind would engage in a super fight with mixed rules against Rodtang? To put it another way, he competed head-to-head with one of the best strikers in the history of the world. A stunning artist who is among the best of all time.”
Chatri Sityodtong says ONE Championship has something special for fans in two announced US shows this year
The much anticipated return of ONE Championship to the continental United States will take place later this year with two big events taking place in Denver and Atlanta. The martial artist who has been practicing for his entire life has stated that he will personally ensure that these cards are epic and contain the best bouts on them.
In the same interview, Sityodtong shared the following with Brendan Schaub:
All of the major celebrities will be making an appearance, and, you know. We actually haven’t had a chance to sit down with the matchmaking team and work out what the cards are going to look like yet, but just to be clear, there is no way that we are going to come in with a little card.
