According to Tommy Langaker, ONE Championship is playing a significant role in the sport of submission grappling: “It’s putting a new spin on things.”

Tommy Langaker is pumped up to demonstrate that he is one of the top grappling athletes in the world today, and he is confident that the ONE Championship Circle will provide him with the ideal stage on which to do so.

The Norwegian athlete, who will compete for the ONE lightweight submission grappling world title that is now held by Kade Ruotolo, is of the opinion that the organization, which is based in Singapore, has been taking all of the appropriate steps with regard to submission grappling.

Langaker has expressed his excitement at the opportunity to contribute to the organization’s goal of elevating the sport to an entirely new level.

After giving the concept some consideration in 2017 and 2018, ONE Championship made the competition a permanent part of their shows in 2018, beginning with their landmark event commemorating their first ten years in business, ONE X.

Since that time, two new submission grappling world titles have been added to the competition that takes place on the international arena. Mikey Musumeci and Kade now hold the flyweight and lightweight gold medals, respectively.

With a roster that is constantly expanding and include names like Tye Ruotolo, Uali Kurzhev, Danielle Kelly, Tammi Musumeci, Shinya Aoki, Garry Tonon, and Matheus Gabriel, the organization for martial arts will begin adding additional world titles in each discipline, just as they have done in MMA, kickboxing, and Muay Thai.

Tommy Langaker had the following to say about the impact that ONE has had in the world of submission grappling:

“It’s changing the scene of what a professional jiu-jitsu athlete is,” said one commentator. “It’s changing the scene.”
Tommy Langaker has the goal of winning the ONE world championship for himself, and he will have a chance to do so if he is successful in overcoming Kade’s persistent submission-hunting style inside the ring in Bangkok’s Lumpinee Boxing Stadium on June 9.

Fans in North America who have a subscription to Amazon Prime may watch the whole ONE Fight Night 11 event live and for free on the streaming service.
