According to Superbon, Jonathan Haggerty needs to win against Nong-O once again to demonstrate that their first matchup wasn’t a fluke.

Superbon Singha Mawynn, a superstar in Thailand, is of the opinion that ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Jonathan Haggerty still has work to do before he can be regarded as truly on par with the very best in the world. However, he does not completely underestimate the skills of the British fighter.

Superbon believes that ‘The General’ can achieve it by defeating fellow Thai legend Nong-O Hama once more. Nong-O Hama was the opponent that Jonathan Haggerty took out in April to become the new division king. Superbon believes that ‘The General’ can do it.

In an interview with the South China Morning Post, the Singha Mawynn Muay Thai affiliate gave the following information:

Regarding Jonathan, I have a favorable opinion of him. He is performing at a really high level right now. He’s on his way to being renowned. If he wants to compete at that level, however, in my opinion and from my [point of view], he needs to win another match against Nong-O. Everyone is going to acknowledge that he is a good fighter, even a really good fighter. There are a lot of things that need to be answered right now for him.”
Take a look at the interview down below:

In the first round of their championship bout, Jonathan Haggerty shocked the Muay Thai community by knocking out Nong-O, who held the title of ONE bantamweight world champion for a lengthy period of time.

At the 2:40 mark of the first round, ‘The General’ finished out Nong-O with a flurry of punches that effectively put an end to the fight. This was the third time that Nong-O was knocked out by ‘The General,’ who ultimately won the fight and took home the world title.

Jonathan Haggerty, who had previously held the flyweight Muay Thai title belt, became a two-division ONE world champion with this victory. Previously, he had won the belt for the flyweight class.

On the other hand, Superbon’s performance in his comeback fight at ONE Fight Night 11 on Prime Video on June 9 in Bangkok was nothing short of remarkable.

He defeated the Dutch-Turkish fighter Tayfun Ozcan with a head kick in the second round, resulting in a knockout victory.

This victory came five months after Chingiz Allazov knocked out Superbon, which resulted in Superbon losing the ONE featherweight kickboxing world title.

In North America, customers with an Amazon Prime membership can watch a free replay of ONE Fight Night 11.
