In preparation for the rematch between Jarred Brooks and Joshua Pacio, Joshua Pacio has stated that Filipino supporters in Qatar are already expressing him affection.

At ONE 166: Qatar, Joshua Pacio, a former ONE strawweight MMA world champion, will compete against Jarred Brooks, the opponent who was responsible for taking away his title during the end of the previous year. It is scheduled that the fated rematch will take place on March 1 and will be one of five high-profile world title events that will be included on the inaugural fight card for ONE Championship in the Middle East.

‘The Passion’ Joshua Pacio is receiving an incredible amount of support from Filipino fans in Qatar, despite the fact that he is competing hundreds of miles away from his native country of the Philippines.

He informed The Peninsula Qatar that:

“I am going to be overjoyed. Prior to the announcement of the fight, which took place a few months ago, I had already experienced the support of the Filipinos in that country through social media. There are a number of people who tag me, and if I go up their profiles, I discover that they are from Qatar.
The courageous workers who leave the Philippines to find employment elsewhere, mainly in the Middle East, contribute a considerable portion of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) each year. A significant number of Filipinos will undoubtedly be yelling Pacio’s name at ONE 166, and it is safe to say that they will do so.

Joshua Pacio believes ‘every venue will have Filipinos’ ahead of bout with Jarred Brooks in Qatar

During an interview with The Mixed Martial Arts Sueprfan on YouTube, Pacio reaffirmed his commitment to have the support of his fellow Filipinos regardless of the country in which he competes. ‘The Passion’ made the following statement regarding the participation of his fellow countrymen in his upcoming battle against Jarred Brooks in Qatar:

“There will be Filipinos wherever you go,” the speaker said. I am also anticipating that there would be a great number of our fellow compatriots in Qatar. As for the following year, 2024, I see that they will be concentrating on mixed martial arts. Due to the fact that, as I mentioned earlier, there would be Filipinos present at each and every place, there will be a large number of thrilled Filipinos present.
