Stephen Loman is confident that John Lineker will be knocked out in their upcoming fight.

The upcoming bout between Filipino bantamweight mixed martial arts artist Stephen Loman and fellow contender John Lineker is slated to take place later this month. Loman does not anticipate that the fight will reach the distance.

The mixed martial arts match between ‘The Sniper’ and ‘Hands of Stone’ will be shown live on Prime Video as part of ONE Fight Night 14 on September 29. The event will take place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Stephen Loman revealed in an interview with ONE Championship that he believes it is extremely probable that he would knock out John Lineker during their next bout due to both of their aggressive fighting styles and their desire to engage in physical combat.

The strong member of Team Lakay stated:

“Because you rack up points for every successful move and blow you land on your adversary. And if we hit each other directly in the face, we could possibly score a knockout.”

Stephen Loman, who is currently ranked as the No. 2 contender in the category, will be competing at ONE Fight Night 14 in an effort to keep his position as the next challenger in line for Fabricio Andrade of Brazil, who is the current world champion.

Since he began competing for ONE in 2021, he has fought three times and has been successful in all of those bouts. His most recent victory came in November of last year, when he defeated Bibiano Fernandes, a former world champion in the bantamweight division of ONE.

Stephen Loman anticipates that a world-class boxer like Lineker will be a difficult test for him to overcome. However, it has no effect on him, and rather than being discouraged, he is excited for it to succeed with him on the victorious side.

Lineker, the No. 1 contender, is now on the return path after being unsuccessful in his attempt to recapture the bantamweight gold that was taken from him the previous year. In their championship rematch in February, Andrade defeated Lineker through technical knockout (corner stoppage) in the fourth quarter of the bout.

The following month, he defeated Kim Jae Woong of South Korea by virtue of a spectacular third-round technical knockout (punches), which earned him the fight.

Prime Video users in North America have the opportunity to watch ONE Fight Night 14 live and at no additional cost.
