The current holder of the ONE flyweight kickboxing world championship, Superlek Kiatmoo9, intends to give Tagir Khalilov a ‘gift’ that he is unlikely to value.
This coming Friday, in the main event of ONE Fight Night 12 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, the wrecking ball from Thailand seeks to achieve his third consecutive knockout victory over the heavy-handed fighter from Russia.
Superlek, who is known for being a quiet but incredibly lethal assassin, recently broke character and pondered if Khalilov will be able to bear the full intensity of his strikes, especially while wearing four once gloves. Superlek is known for being a quiet but extremely lethal assassin.
In an exclusive interview, the man who is fittingly called “The Kicking Machine” shared the following with the Singapore-based promotion:

The 27-year-old boxer, who was fed up with being chastised for apparently being a “point fighter,” displayed just how brutally vicious he can be by scoring violent knockout victories over Danial Williams and Nabil Anane in quick succession.
Furthermore, the superstar of the Kiatmoo9 Gym is still as sharp and exact as he’s always been, but he now carries more fight-ending power than at any other time we’ve seen him.
For instance, he repelled Williams’ nuclear fists at ONE Fight Night 8 and then threw a hellacious combo that severed ‘Mini T’ from his mind. Both of these victories occurred in the same fight.
Superlek also overcame Anane’s enormous height advantage by reaching inside his opponent’s ringside position and breaking him down with devastating body smashes.
Tagir Khalilov will undoubtedly be in for the fight of his life if he faces Superlek in this form, which may very well be the most terrifying one yet.
On July 14, ONE Fight Night 12 will be shown live on US Primetime, and Prime Video users in North America will be able to watch it for free.
