Transgender MMA fighter: Joe Rogan on Fallon Fox competing against cisgender women

While the argument over whether or not biologically male fighters should be permitted to compete against cisgender women is still a hot topic in the MMA world, Joe Rogan made an effort to maintain objectivity and offered a nuanced viewpoint. The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE) podcast’s presenter claimed he detested transgender fighters who dishonestly concealed their identity and background prior to fights.

Rogan discussed Fallon Fox concealing her past while competing as a woman on an episode of his podcast (JRE #1895) with American Republican activist Matt Walsh and said:

Fallon Fox, a transgender boxer, “competed… As a woman, beating the f**k out of these women and trying to say that it was just a medical procedure,” while concealing the fact that they were naturally male.
Rogan went on to say that he had no issue with transgender women fighting cisgender women if they agreed to it. He declared:

‘Hey, I was biologically male but now identify as a female. Would you like to fight?’ a transgender athlete would ask someone. And they continue to respond, “Yes, go ahead, have fun.”
