A victory by Ham Seo Hee over Stamp Fairtex later this month, according to ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong, could eventually lead to the promotion conducting an event in Korea.
Although South Korea has been on the promotion’s radar for some time now, the country has not yet played host to one of its gatherings.
According to Sityodtong, everything may be different if Ham Seo Hee prevails against Thai superstar Stamp in their fight for the interim ONE atomweight mixed martial arts world title at ONE Fight Night 14 in Singapore on September 29. The event will take place on September 29.
The ONE executive stated that ‘Hamzzang,’ along with other Korean celebrities such as MMA great Yoshihiro ‘Sexyama’ Akiyama and former ONE lightweight world champion Ok Rae Yoon, could potentially flag the event in their native country if it were to ever take place there.
This information was provided by Sityodtong during an interview with the South China Morning Post, where he stated:
“If Ham wins, then we’ll have Sexyama and Ham, and maybe there’s a big reason, you know [to have a show in South Korea],” Sexyama said. “If Ham wins, then we’ll have Sexyama and Ham.”Ok, [Rae Yoon] will be fighting in a little while as well. I was just looking through the matchmaker cards when I came across his name.

The fight between Ham Seo Hee and Stamp, which will take place in the Singapore Indoor Stadium, is an opportunity for her to accomplish her dream of winning a world title.
The MMA fighter, who is 36 years old and competes for Team MAD, is now on a nine-fight winning streak, with her most recent three victories coming under the ONE Championship banner.
Her most recent match, which took place back in March, was a victory over Itsuki Hirata of Japan, which she won by unanimous decision. Prior to that victory, Ham Seo Hee had been victorious by decision in each of her previous matches against the Filipino Denice Zamboanga.
Stamp, who is 25 years old, is competing at ONE Fight Night 14 with the goal of being the first woman in ONE Championship history to win world titles in all three of the organization’s sports. She has previously held both the Muay Thai world title and the kickboxing world title in the organization at the same time.
The star from Fairtex Training Center won her most recent bout in May in the United States. She defeated another American competitor, Alyse Anderson, via knockout in the second round.
The reigning champion of the atomweight class, Angela Lee, will continue to be absent from competition due to personal circumstances, hence the company has decided to host a battle for an interim title.
Prime Video users in North America have the opportunity to watch ONE Fight Night 14 live and for no additional cost.
