During the rematch with Jeremy Miado, Lito Adiwang claims that he needs to be “more active, more aggressive.”

Published:

When he faces fellow Filipino fan favorite Jeremy Miado for the second time, Lito Adiwang intends to fight in a much more aggressive manner so that he can even the series. The fight will take place at ONE Fight Night 16.

‘Thunder Kid’ will get the chance to make amends when he faces Miado in a high-stakes strawweight fight that might propel both men up the rankings. It has been almost a year and a half since their previous encounter, which saw Adiwang fall down in the second round due to a catastrophic knee injury.

As Lito Adiwang is hungry for a chance to share the circle with Jarred Brooks, the reigning ONE strawweight world champion, he intends to push the tempo and make a statement inside of the illustrious Lumpinee Boxing Stadium.

During an interview with ONE Championship, he expressed his thoughts as follows:

“I believe that I need to exert more effort in this fight. During the first round of our fight, we were both sizing each other up and waiting for the other to make a mistake. I didn’t assume an overly aggressive stance. This time, I need to take more initiative and be more assertive, but I need to do so in a strategic way.

After suffering consecutive defeats at the hands of ‘The Monkey God’ and Jeremy Miado, Adiwang has successfully rebounded with a devastating knockout victory over Adrian Matheis at ONE Friday Fights 34 in September. Matheis was knocked out in just 23 seconds. As he prepares to step inside the ring for a rematch that he has been itching to earn ever since March 2022, he will attempt to maintain the momentum that he has just gained.

However, winning the win will be much easier said than done as he meets Jeremy Miado, who is one of the promotion’s most frequent finishers. Jeremy Miado will make it difficult for him to obtain the victory. “The Jaguar” has a perfect finish rate, having won all six of his matches in the ONE Championship by way of knockout. His record stands at 100%.

Will Miado add another highlight-reel finish to his CV, or will Lito Adiwang redeem himself inside the Mecca of Muay Thai? Both fighters will be competing at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

On November 3, 2018, during the primetime hours in the United States, Amazon Prime Video users in North America will have the opportunity to watch ONE Fight Night 16: Haggerty vs. Andrade live on Prime Video.
