While sitting in an ice bath, Anatoly Malykhin showed no sign of being chilled.
In order to keep up with their relentless training, mixed martial arts competitors need a variety of recovery strategies. An ice bath is a typical method that is used to treat the body; yet, sitting in one might be a mental challenge for the person doing so.
In the case of Malykhin, he appears to have no problem what so ever sitting in water that is ice cold, as was demonstrated in a recent video that was shared on social media. ONE shared the footage on their Instagram account with the following caption:
“Freezing Are you able to withstand this kind of cold? @anmalykhin”

In his maiden fight for ONE Championship, which took place in March 2021, Anatoly Malykhin knocked out Alexandre Machado in the first round of competition. Six months later, the powerful Russian boxer made his return to the Circle for his second first-round knockout, which this time was against Amir Aliakbari.
In the month of February 2022, ‘Sladkiy’ contested in a bout for an interim world title because the reigning champion, Arjan Bhullar, was out with an injury. The interim throne was successfully taken by Malykhin after he won the fight against Kirill Grishenko and knocked him out in the second round. Ten months later, at the age of 35, the fighter added another accomplishment to his CV by stopping Reinier de Ridder via knockout to win the undisputed light heavyweight world championship.
Over the course of the past year, Anatoly Malykhin has been scheduled twice to fight Arjan Bhullar in a match for the unification of the heavyweight world title. Due to unfortunate circumstances, the showdown has been postponed twice; the first time, it was because Bhullar had to withdraw due to an injury, and the second time, it was because of a change in broadcaster obligations.
It is anticipated that the Bhullar vs. Malykhin fight will take place on ONE Fight Night 12, which will take place at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. Prime Video subscribers in North America are eligible to view the event live and without additional cost.
