Rodtang Jitmuangnon, a superstar in Thailand, arrived in the United States a week ago and immediately made a name for himself. It was business as usual for him. The fight was held in Denver, Colorado, which is located at a somewhat high altitude. At ONE battle Night 10 on Prime Video on May 5, ‘The Iron Man’ successfully defended the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title by knocking out Mexican challenger Edgar Tabares in the second round of their co-headlining battle.Rodtang had no signs of fatigue or difficulty despite the difficulties posed by the high-altitude surroundings as he methodically tore down Edgar Tabares, which resulted in the knockout (an elbow to the jaw) at the 1:34 mark of the second round.

When asked about the circumstances he had to face in Denver, Rodtang said that they were nothing he hadn’t encountered before, even going so far as to compare them to the circumstances in Thailand.

During an interview after the event, the current king of ONE Muay Thai said the following:

“Thailand is comparable to the United States in terms of America. I did not experience any of the negative effects that are typically associated with high altitude.
Chatri Sityodtong, the CEO and chairman of ONE Championship, recognised the fighter’s outstanding performance by awarding him a hefty performance bonus in the amount of $100,000. The event in question was ONE Championship’s first-ever live on-ground event held in the United States. With the win, Rodtang improved his record to 14-0 in bouts that were decided by all strikes contested under the ONE Championship banner.

Moving forward, he stated that he is thinking about challenging for other world titles, like as the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai belt that is now held by new champion Jonathan Haggerty of the United Kingdom.

ONE Fight Night 10 was held in Denver’s 1stBank Centre, which was completely sold out for the event. In North America, members of Amazon Prime can watch a free replay of the historic show on their streaming service.
